Coriolis RECON

The Coriolis RECON is a portable, light and ruggedized bio-air sampler for biological warfare agents detection, dedicated to CBRN teams or first responders, with quick deployment in case of an event with biological attack suspicion.
The Coriolis RECON have been designed to collect large concentrations of aerosols in the breathable range of 0.5 to 10 μm, thus being more representative of the environment than traditional bio-aerosol samplers. Thanks to its ability to collect bio-aerosol particles into liquid format, this system can be used with rapid identification techniques for biological agents (immunoassay, PCR, etc.) to provide an early warning of aerosolized biological warfare agents.

High performances for rapid sampling and downstream identification

pic-a

Coriolis RECON has been designed to collect large concentrations of aerosols at the flow rate of 600 L/min, thus being more representative of the environment than typical bio-aerosol samplers.
Thanks to its liquid sample (20mL), it can be used with a rapid identification system (immunoassay, PCR, etc.) to provide an early warning of aerosolized biological warfare agents or complete identification in labs.

Multiple sampling can be achieved with no decontamination step thanks to single-used sterile consumables.

Made for the field

Coriolis RECON is deployable in less than 5 minutes. Its user interface has been optimized for standard procedure and use with Individual Protective Equipment in case of

biological weapons threat.

The Coriolis RECON complies with the most constringent norms of STANAG or Mil-std. The Coriolis RECON can be used in harsh environment with water protection IP54 and temperature of use from temperature 0°C to 49°C.

After the mission, the Coriolis RECON can be easily and totally decontaminated by classical disinfectants (autoclave, hydrogen peroxide vapor, bleach).

Adapted to multiple concepts of operation

Coriolis RECON offers flexibility with a choice of operating modes for biological warfare agents:

Autonomous Sampling: this mode is triggered by the operator for mobile applications to rapidly obtain a sample and identify the biological threat.

Biological Sentry Mode: for long term surveillance, the Coriolis RECON can be set up in a standby mode, and launching automatically an air sampling when a suspicious biological agents is detected by warning system (RS232 link).

Long Time Collection: for the surveillance of a critical event, the long time monitoring option (6 hours of collection) can be installed for continuous monitoring. In this mode of operation, an external power source is required.
